Engrossing and Fun This story is a refreshing treat. I was drawn into the story right away. I admit to losing too much sleep because I was reading. The story is as light and funny as it is romantic. The historically sections lacked some accuracy, but it helped to move the scene. (Puritans didn't have buttons. They were considered a sign of vanity.)I usually enjoy Teresa Medeiros, but I couldn't even finish Breath of Magic. I was really excited to start reading it because the plot sounded intriguing and different.Unfortunately the characters didn't work for me. I liked the heroine, but the guy was terrible. I know the reader isn't supposed to like him at first, but even when I was introduced to some of his softer qualities, such as "he was nerdy," "he lived in an orphanage," and finally "his mother used him because he was rich," I still
Arian is a white witch from the 1600s thrown forward to 1990s New York City. Cue hilarious meetings between a Puritan and that baffling thing we know as electricity. And true love. I found this to be a highly entertaining read. The humorous moments of Arian being overwhelmed by NYC or confounded by technology were written very well. The twists and turns in the plot were quite unexpected. I was shocked... at least twice. Thumbs up, yo. My only problem is that the author made Tristan act like a

T. M. Is one of my favourite authors. This was obviously an early effort. Acceptable, but she is an amazing writer now. It is still an adorable book, and a pleasant way to spend the afternoon. Please keep reading her books, they grow more and more wonderful.
I'd give this 2.5 stars. The writing was actually good. However the main drawback of this story was it being unendingly misogynistic and the plot getting redundant. I mean seriously how many times can one guy blame problems , that he just imagines into existence, on one girl and still expect her to come running back... apparently in this book the answer is infinite. The unending loop of this made the story a little hard to swallow which, is unfortunate because the rest of the book was rather
This was so much fun. She was born in 1662...and he's in 1996...there's magic and drama and ADVENTURE.
