Explanation To Books The Bunker Diary

I can't believe I fell for it. It was still dark when I woke up this morning. As soon as my eyes opened I knew where I was. A low-ceilinged rectangular building made entirely of whitewashed concrete. There are six little rooms along the main corridor. There are no windows. No doors. The elevator is the only way in or out. What's he going to do to me? What am I going to do? People are really quite simple, and they have simple needs. Food, water, light, space, privacy. Maybe a small measure of dignity. A bit of freedom. What happens when someone simply takes all that away?

This book was bitter-sweetly heartbreaking which left me feeling depressed a minute after I finished reading it. The sad thing is there are some sick people like that in the world who do such things and that makes me hate the world we live in.Full review to come.

Another excellent book by Brooks. I'm a big fan of his work and personally I think this is one of his best (alongside Naked and iBoy). His writing is always so gritty and realistic which I find refreshing in the YA market. In fact, it seems almost insulting that Brooks is categorised as a YA author as his writing is always so much darker than what is stereotypically perceived when "YA" is ever mentioned. I can't go in to any depth discussing this novel as it would cause far too many spoilers for

This book is absolute perfection. I would not change a single thing about it, especially the ending. The messages are so intricately woven and muddled in with often completely meaningless diversions that it can at times be difficult to understand what Brooks is actually attempting to communicate - but that's all part of the wonderful, intriguing mystery of this book. The reason that I couldn't give it full stars is because it's absolutely the most horrifying and unforgiving book I have ever

It seems stylish to like dystopian books these days and perhaps even books without a traditional happy ending. This is all fine and well when the book is well balanced (think The Book Thief or Flowers for Algernon) with sufficient character development and some ups and downs to take you along with the characters. But this is one sick sled ride all the way downhill. If the sign of a good book is that it generates controversy and is hard to forget then I'll give this book that. In addition people

A very good yal book! My young students loved it too. One of them couldn't sleep after finishing it. Made quite an impression.

Utterly disappointed. I don't mind dark, I don't mind gore, I don't mind bleak. I don't mind deaths of characters, side or main. I do mind when there is no ending to a book I just spent a good bit of time on. That wasn't a sad ending. That was a "looks like I'm all out of ideas" ending.

*4 stars*I'm sure I have read this book at the wrong time because it has not transmitted to me all the feelings that it should have transmitted to me. I have read many comments in his favor, almost none negative, and I agree with most. Only that it didn't involve me so much, also because of the study of the last two weeks that led me to a long pause from reading. We can divide the book into two parts, that is how I read it: in the first part there is the presentation of the characters and a hint
