The tenth volume of Death Note really brought back the fun, suspense, and all around good stuff of the series for me. In this volume, Light begins to put into motion his new plan for taking down Near, who's gotten a little too close to the truth for Light's taste. Once again he gets someone else to do his dirty work, a fellow by the name of Mikami who's quite the psychopath character, while he tries to prove his innocence. An old, and very unexpected character shows up for a twist I didn't seeIn Death Note 10 Near suspects the new L of being Kira. Light gives away the death note once again. He is trying to avoid being suspected. He is relying on his followers to do the same thing he did. When the second L,Light Yagami,is suspected to be Kiraby by Near,he transfers his death note to one of his true believers,Nikami,who works in the place of Kira. He considers Kira his God and appoints OKAMI as a spokesperson of Kira who has been a girlfriend of Light in his university days.
Dr. Lipshitz asked me to describe what was in "that game" that scared that COWARD Baron so much. I told her and she started writing some quack doctor shit in her journal. I asked her what she was writing down but she started askin me why I was yelling and I told her I wasn't yelling. Let's just say I got a LITTLE carried away and Mikey Pence had to calm me down. Going through the motions now. There are two more volumes? I'll need another box of cookies to finish them (the sugar might help keep up with the plot twists which are perhaps there for the sake of twists.).
Since Volume 7 or 8, my fondness for this series has started to flag, and the reasons why were particularly evident in this volume: a cast of unlikable characters, tortured storylines and lack of thought. Spoilers ahead.Even though the characters were either ineffectual (Matsuda, Sochiro Yagami), evil (Light, L arguably, Mello) or kind of silly (Miss), you could always see where they were coming from and relate.
