Weigh Up About Books Keegan's Lady (Coulters Historical #1)
3.5/5 stars

Love it loved it loved it. This book had everything! Why did I wait so long to read it? There's no beating a good story, and Catherine Anderson was at her best when she wrote this gem. Former gunslinger Ace Keegan has to be one of my all time favorite CA heroes--wow, what a man. Patient, loving, tolerant, honorable, forgiving, and very, very, sexy. In short--everything you look for in a romance hero. This was a story about a young boy (Ace Keegan) witnessing his loving stepfather wrongfully

Overall ResponseI've always liked this book. It has one of my favorite romance tropes -- a marriage of convenience -- and the hero and heroine are relatable, flawed people who give me something to root for. In addition, the plot itself is interesting and the supporting cast is strong enough that readers clamored for Catherine Anderson to write stories for the brothers. That being said, as much as I like this book, one this re-read there are aspects that bother me more now than when I first read

Absolutely disappointing despite all the glowing five-star reviews. The main characters, Caitlin O'Shannessy and Ace Keegan have very little chemistry. Nothing much happens; the story is neither engaging or emotionally compelling. The plot is that Ace Keegan is out for revenge on Caitlin's despicable father, (who also had raped Keegan's mother). Caitlin is terrified of consummating her marriage because of the trauma of being brutally raped when she was sixteen. They mostly dance around each

Rating: 3.5 / 5I almost wasn't able to finish this book...not because it was bad or anything, but because I got to the end and found that my used copy was missing the last three pages. As you can imagine, I was not very happy to discover this. Luckily, I was able to use Amazon's "look inside" feature to read the last little bit. And though this was a good book, I can't say it will be one of my Catherine Anderson favorites. It was an average good romance, but it didn't have anything particularly

I wish had more time this week to read. I simply barely had time most days for a chapter. But when I did I was so enthralled with this story. Very slow burning yet absolutely wonderfully romantic. Ace was a hero that little girls dream of coming to sweep them away. Not completely perfect actually pretty far from it. Yet he had everything you'd want. Unwavering loyalty and truly the most protective heart. There's no words to describe the trauma that Caitlin lived through. Ace came around at the
