Representaion Toward Books xxxHolic, Vol. 4 (xxxHOLiC #4)

It’s Valentine’s Day–and while Domeki is showered with chocolates and cards from girls, Watanuki receives none. To make matters worse, he must also do the usual chores for Yûko, which includes making chocolate cake for her and Mokona, as well as the treats his boss wants to give away as gifts. But when Watanuki discovers he has a shy and secret admirer who is not quite human, he finds that chocolates can be more than just sweets. Then, after seeing identical twin sisters pass by in the street, Yûko makes a curious remark: that there are chains that only humans can use to bind others. Watanuki meets the sisters and senses that the relationship between them is not what it seems. . . . xxxHOLiC crosses over with Tsubasa, also by CLAMP. Don’t miss it! Includes chapters 23-28

Write-Up Regarding Books xxxHolic, Vol. 4 (xxxHOLiC #4)
Sigh....I'm finding I'm having the same issue with this series that I had with Ranma 1/2.... I really do like the series and the characters, but it just feels like the story is being dragged on and on to milk it for what it's worth... and for xxxHolic, it's only volume 4!! Everything that happened in this volume seemed pointless. And maybe there is a reason that'll come about in upcoming volumes, but I feel like a lot of this is just "We know we want this series to be long so we can make more

Its been a long while since Ive read this series. Im not a huge CLAMP fan and the constant crossovers with their various series is one of those reasons (It annoyed me with all of Marvels X books too and I followed all those series unlike CLAMPs). I think one of the reason is Im not a fan of the Gumby limbed art. The story itself isnt bad. Watanuki is mostly a sweet young man except for his interaction with Domeki (While Watanuki is obviously het (or at the very least Bi) I do wonder if Domeki is

I have mixed feelings about this volume. There are two main story arcs that I like. And I mentioned mixed feelings because I was delighted when getting to the eerie parts midway, especially when I learned of some shocking revelations on supporting characters. But coming to the end, it feels as if there are are non-continuing stories or chapters that feel out-of-place. I don't know if it is just me, but when reading xxxHolic volumes, I am used to story continuation. The eeriness of some chapters

I love the characters that are introduced into this volume! Plus, a nice different Valentine's Day chapter c:

Not bad manga. I have read better. =)

This manga is one of the most interesting and unpredictable series I have ever read. I cannot find words to describe how good this series is. Once again, CLAMP has created a wonderful series that is just beautiful and just a lot of fun to love. XXXHolic is very unique and has an excellent character cast. Ill admit that I think that this manga may be one of CLAMPs finest. Maybe not the best but one of the better ones. The thing that stands out about Holic is the setting. Its a paranormal universe

Rating will stay a 4 star. I found Domeki and Watanuki's interactions just frustrating and Domeki certainly didn't make things better by stealing that Valentine's treat and also doing some other things. It is like he wants to piss off Watanuki. :| This time some backstory on Watanuki (that apartment building, is that from Chobits, it wouldn't surprise me if it was), twins and the power of words, Valentines day (with a soul-stealing Zashiki Warashi who I like later on but now I just found it rude
