Narrative In Favor Of Books Big Boned (Heather Wells #3)
Life is reasonably rosy for plus-size ex-pop star turned Assistant Dormitory Director and sometime sleuth Heather Wells. Her freeloading ex-con dad is finally moving out. She still yearns for her hot landlord, Cooper Cartwright, but her relationship with "rebound beau," vigorous vegan math professor Tad Tocco, is more than satisfactory. Best of all, nobody has died lately in "Death Dorm," the aptly nicknamed student residence that Heather assistant-directs. Of course every silver lining ultimately has some black cloud attached. And when the latest murdered corpse to clutter up her jurisdiction turns out to be her exceedingly unlovable boss, Heather finds herself on the shortlist of prime suspects—along with the rabble-rousing boyfriend of her high-strung student assistant and an indecently handsome young campus minister who's been accused of taking liberties with certain girls' choir members. With fame beckoning her back into show business (as the star of a new kids' show!) it's a really bad time to get wrapped up in another homicide. Plus Tad's been working himself up to ask her a Big Question, which Heather's not sure she has an answer for . . .Declare Books To Big Boned (Heather Wells #3)

I'm loving all the books in the Heather Wells series!"Is your boss in? Because I think we'd better speak to him.""Well," I say. "That's going to be hard.""Why, for heaven's sake?" Brian wants to know."Because he got shot in the head yesterday," I reply.Brian flinches. But Mr. Rosetti just nods."It happens," he says, with a shrug.I had ordered several books by Meg Cabot, and without paying attention to the order that they were written and published, I read this one first. This is actually the 3rd in the Heather Mills series, after Size 12 Is Not Fat and Size 14 Isn't Fat Either. I can say, though, that even not having read the first two books in this series I wasn't lost. I'm sure that knowing the characters in the book may have given the characters more depth, but it certainly wasn't necessary to understand the
Y'all know I am Meg Cabot trash, but I have to admit I was pretty bored for most of this. HOWEVER: the ending totally saved it with all of it's cheesy glory and I can't wait to see how the rest of the series plays out. Squeeeee!
I really didn't like this book. After reading the first two books in the series I felt there was a nice buildup of the story and I really could relate to Heather (except the pop star part)...and then I open book 3 and at first see that they story is very short. I move past that and read on. Wow, talk about rushed ending. Everything happened so fast in regards to Heather's love life and even though it was pretty obvious she would end up that way it still felt so rushed. Also, the mystery aspect
Spoiler Alert! Im sorry, I cant talk about this book without giving away some major details. After reading the first two books in the series, I had mixed feelingsbut I was really enjoying the third entry until the last few pages. What really, really disappointed me was the fast-forward of Heather and Coopers relationship. Yes, I wanted to see them end up togethereventually. Heathers been crushing on Cooper for roughly a year but theyve just been friendsroommates, yes, but just friends. She
Did Ms. Cabot have a deadline to meet at the end of this book? Am I to assume that this is the last of the Heather Wells saga? Because while I have been hoping and praying to the Heather Wells God's for some time that her and Coop would eventually be together... If I would have had a page or two stuck together I would have missed the entire relationship developing. This is what I wanted to see happen... she come home, he tell her that he didnt want to be the rebound guy blah blah blah and they
3.5 starsI didn't like this one as much as I did the first two in the series but I still enjoyed it. The ending made up for all the not so great parts in the rest of the book. I've been looking forward to this since we first met Heather and her landlord in the first book and I'm happy it finally happened. I'm really looking forward to reading more about Heather and her friends some more.
