I feel so proud to have read this sprawling, difficult, yet stunning work as my introduction to this Nobel Prize winning author. Omeros is a work that takes LOTS of patience and focus to really sort through the unbelievable technical range that Walcott employs, and get to the heart of this Caribbean epic. Beautiful language and imagery but I honestly had no idea what was going on for majority of the poem.
