I read this book as a request and I am glad I did. It was my first encounter with Judy Moody and now I know how she got her name. The book is charming- it lets the reader feel the emotions of a young girl that has some trouble behaving. She seems to always be in trouble in some way. She shares her feelings of jealousy and wanting to be famous too as she asks several classmates and family, "Have you been famous?" Her books are great for grades 3-5. The font is on the larger size and there are still illustrations scattered throughout the pages to give the reader a break from reading page after page. I think these are also great because there are more than one so if the student liked the first one, then they can move on to the second one
