DNF @ page 94This was my second and last of Marie Lus books. I just find her writing style to be too dry and emotionless to be intriguing. Theres plenty of action in her books, but her world-building doesnt make all that much sense and its very hard to connect to characters because they are so flat and tell more than show. Updated@24/01/2018 : Strange, I looked back at a comment I'd make in 2015, and I think this comment sums up why I dislike Legend series. In order to save you some time, here's my reason: Because reading/watching a bunch of Japanese action-themed manga/anime and then writing something based on them and then labeling it as 'dystopian novel' AND THEN devoting most of said novel to tell us how cool and awesome (and good looking) your MCs are really doesn't cut it. This book was a re-read for me so that I could finally finish out the trilogy. I pretty much feel the same way I did back in 2015. I enjoyed the book and the characters.
